On behalf of KAU President Prof. Abdulrahman Al Youbi, HE KAU Vice-president for Development Prof. Abdulfatah Mashat inaugurated the website for the Social Responsibility Meeting for the university and the private sector: Reality and Hope on Tuesday April 12th 2016.
The meeting events are expected to start on Wednesday 13 April 2016 at King Faysal Conference Hall under the auspices of HRH Prince Mishal bin Majed, Governor of Jeddah (from 9am to 3pm).
Prof. Mashat, who is the Chairman of the KAU President Prize Secretariat Committee indicated that the meeting aims at establishing the social responsibility concept for the community.
He also indicated that the KAU President's Prize for Excellency in Community Service (KAU-President PECS) aims at supporting KAU sectors and staff to pursue further societal works stressing that well-defined mechanisms and standards have been set for prize candidacy.
The inauguration function was attended by Prof. Tawfiq Al Khayal, Dean of the Deanship of Community Service and Continuing Education (DCSCE) and member of the KAU President Prize Secretariat Committee,
Prof. Hamid Salih, Vice-dean of the DCSCE for Development and KAU-President PECS General Secretary, Prof. Hasan Al Zahrani, DCSCE Vice-dean, and
Mr. Naser Al Ghamdi, Director of the Social Responsibility Unit and KAU-President PECS secretary.
