On behalf of HE Prof. Abdulrahman Al Youbi, KAU President HE Prof. Abdullah Mahraji, KAU Vice-president inaugurated KAU Third Talent and creativity Forum Events under the logo "Talents and Entrepreneurship" on Sunday morning April 17th, 2016. Five students winner of creativity contest awards have been honored at King Faysal Conference Hall.
KAU Vice-president, Prof. Abdullah Majraji accompanied by Prof. Abdulfatah mashat, KAU Vice-president for development and Dr. Abdulmonim Al Hayani, \dean of students affaires have walked around the creations exhibition and listened to explanations of student participations and scientific creativity achievements.
The ceremony started with a recitation from the holy Quran and a speech by Prof. Mahraji on behalf of KAU President and sponsor of the events Prof. Abdulrahman Al Youbi in which he welcomed the audience and all male and female participants to the forum.
He also praised their creative contributions that demonstrate their scientific and intellectual capacities.
He also praised the scientific achievement attained by 5 KAU student teams in the Geneva international creations Exhibition where they represented the university with pride and dignity and raised its name high in this international gathering.
After that Prof. Mahraji honored the winners in the "my creation ". A film on talented experiences and the phase that they have gone through until they achieved their creativity and scientific objectives.
This period also witnessed two training courses one on Entrepreneurship Innovation and another on "|Generating creativity thoughts"
The first place went to student Malak Ismaael Abu SAmhah for her treatment collar that consists of spreading out the treatment material on the scalp.
Her product consists of two parts: one part in the shape of a collar designed to spread the treatment material on the front of the scalp while the second part is in the shape of a comb deigned to distribute the treatment material on the back of the head.
Ms. Sarah Madawi came second with an innovation called "Don't explode a second time" which consists of a solution that minimizes or prevents car fire resulting from gas leak and aims at saving lives and preventing car fire accidents.
In the third place came student Mohamed Saad Al Ghamdi with his invention "Wable TV Platform" which is digital platform that allows the tuning of allTV channels, all electronic games as well as applications like government applications, shopping application, video player application. It is an open platform in front of programmers to create application that suits the TV content and the creation of new opportunities for new creative projects.
The fourth place was to student Z|aher Saleh AL LAhyani for his invention Hybrid Air Conditioner which is an air conditioner that consume less energy than regular market AC's.
The fifth place was to student Khalid Ahmed Ateef for his invention " Smart Fingers" which evolve around the blinds need for autonomy and minimizing the reliance on the others. The device attracts object instantly so that blinds get what they want themselves.
It is worth mentioning that the "My creation contest aims at attracting talented from both male and female student population that have demonstrated their talent in distinctive inventions within the contest guidelines requiring the inventor to submit the invention form so that it can be evaluated. The invention should be in one of the following fields: technology, health, energy and engineering.
