ELI Named Quality and Accreditation Winner
The English Language Institute (ELI) at King Abdulaziz University (KAU) was named winner of the KAU Quality and Academic Accreditation Award for the academic year 2018/2019 on Thursday May 23, 2019.
Minister of Education, Dr Hamad Al Alshaikh, handed the award to the ELI Dean, Dr Abdullah Al-Bargi, at an award ceremony held at the KAU Council Meeting Hall. The Award is administered by the KAU Quality and Academic Accreditation Deanship, and goes to KAU colleges and institutes that adhere to rigorous quality frameworks and accreditation standards. The ELI topped the Administrative and Arts Colleges and Institutes category this academic year 2018/2019.
Dean Al-Bargi, said that the award has come as a great honor in recognition of fantastic collective efforts across the ELI campuses. These team best efforts have enabled ELI’s output profile to be one of outstanding performance empowered by rigorous accreditation and quality practices, work ethics, and result-driven work culture.
Dr Al-Bargi thanked the ELI teams and faculty members for their adherence to, and application of, best-practice and professionally demanding quality standards for better learning. He also extended his thanks to the KAU President, Prof Abdulrahman Al-Youbi, for his unwavering support to the ELI.
