It is a great privilege and a pleasure for me to be part of the ELI Faculty. The staff here are outstanding and there are always people willing to support you in anything you need. Ian Dickie

The ELI is easily the largest ELT centre I have ever worked at. This brings an interesting set of challenges, which the team here overcome to bring success and university entrance to our students. The material, skills and assessment methods are tailored to the specific needs of the two tracks. Faculty are given the opportunity to develop industry-wide skills in areas such as assessment, professional development, student welfare and logistic coordination. The variety really adds to the role of instructor.

I joined ELI in 2013 and during my time here, I have made countless wonderful memories. Since the moment I came here, I felt like part of a family. The community here is wonderful, and I always feel so welcomed and valued by everyone. Since I joined the ELI in 2013, I have become more and more aware of how unique this place is. It is a professional and dynamic place where everything keeps advancing forward at such a pace that gives it an excellent academic reputation worldwide. The place is an academic ‘busy bee’ with so many opportunities provided to grow professionally by attending internationally recognised ELT events, workshops and seminars as well participate in several ongoing and thorough research in ELT. The ELI is undoubtedly the pioneer of English language teaching in the MENA region. I could not have asked for any better culturally diverse workplace to hone my skills as a language teacher. The teachers here are true professionals and are always ready to go the extra mile to support their colleagues personally and professionally. ELI professional development activities have given me the opportunities to interact with many eminent ESL/EFL scholars and stay updated with the latest studies and trends. Working at the ELI has been a highly rewarding experience and opportunity. The ELI has provided me with ample opportunities to develop and grow both inside and outside of the classroom. Hussain Alhazmi

Working as an instructor at the ELI has allowed me to develop my teaching skills. The ELI’s environment is unique, since most of the teachers come from different backgrounds. This diversity has had a big influence on teachers and subsequently on learners at the institute. From day to day, I find myself gaining more perspectives on the teaching learning experience. Engaging with experts in the ELT profession impacted my teaching techniques in a very positive way. I joined the ELI in 2015 as a Language Instructor and it was truly a defining moment in my career. My experience at the ELI has made me a more confident and well-rounded teacher. At the ElI I have developed professionally as a classroom lecturer, a Cambridge certified trainer and a member of the Curriculum and Testing Unit. The ELI has offered me a wealth of professional development opportunities. I also have the privilege of working with a truly diverse and international faculty. At the ELI, I have been able to meet instructors of English language from every corner of the globe which has enabled me to develop different teaching methods from various countries all over the world. In addition, the ELI has a positive environment that supports one's ideas and enhances one's professional skills and experience. Furthermore, residing in Jeddah has provided me with unique opportunities. Jeddah is an outstanding active city with long beaches and numerous restaurants that serve traditional Saudi food. I was able to see Jeddah's history once I visited Al-Balad area.
